I. The standard for social history of the Limburg miners

The SHCL conducted commissioned research on the history of the Limburg miners for the ‘De Koempel verhaalt’ foundation that resulted in the publication of the book Mijnwerkers in Limburg: een sociale geschiedenis (Uitgeverij Vantilt, Nijmegen) on 30 November 2012 (together with a book by Wiel Kusters based on the history of his mining family). Prof. Ad Knotter was responsible for coordinating the project and editing the book, Dr Willibrord Rutten wrote four of its thirteen chapters and Paul Arnold did the illustration research. Other authors, who were not part of the SHCL, included Dr Serge Langeweg (Continium Kerkrade; who wrote his dissertation at FASoS), Dr Erik Nijhof and Jan Peet (both from Utrecht University). This comprehensive work is intended to become the standard social history of the Limburg miners.

II. The SHCL Yearbook

The SCHL yearbook, Studies over de sociaal-economische geschiedenis van Limburg, appeared on 15 December 2012. Contents included:
